The Sixth Night of Christmas

One of my favorite things to do with all the great snow is go out and look at the neighborhoods lit up at night. Whether illuminated by street lights or by Christmas lights, the snow is magical after dark. I'd love to do a better job capturing it in my photographs, but until then these snapshots will have to do.  The top picture was taken from my dining room window.  The bottom photo is of a neighbor's wonderful light wrapped trees.  I hope he knows how much pleasure they give on December's dark nights.

Lots of snow makes winter a joy to enjoy.

Sherry, the pics are just beautiful! The snow we have in the Pacific Northwest never lasts long enough to get such beautiful pictures. I bet I would like snow more if it did!

Where do we answer questions we leave on each other's blogs anyway? In answer to your question, I live in suburban Seattle. What we call "The Eastside." The eastside of Lake Washington (Seattle is on the westside), that is. Close enough to Seattle to enjoy what's there....far enough away to not have to go there, except when we want.

Thanks, Alyson. I read further on your blog and finally figured it out. Did you see that we were in the Seattle area in Sept? It was a chance to do some family research and see some beautiful country.

Wow! You're really dealing with a lot of snow. Makes my whining about wind & rain seem ridiculous. I've enjoyed catching up on your blog today. Happy belated birthday! (My twins were also born in December, always a very expensive month.) BTW, the book's in the mail. You should receive it on Monday.
